Sporty Piko with Raspberry Creek Fabrics

Amidst all of the recent chaos, I was in need of an easy, fun sew.  My birthday was this past weekend just as “social distancing” was starting to go into full effect here in Tennessee.  So I reached for my new tie dye double brushed poly print from the Club line at Raspberry Creek Fabrics and my Sporty Piko pattern from Patterns for Pirates and did a little sanity sewing.

I am no longer young, in shape, or on trend, but I feel like this tie dye Sporty Piko is perfect to keep me feeling young.  I love the cropped version with high waisted workout leggings for a comfortable, casual look.  Of course, I had to pair this Sporty Piko with one of my tried and true pair of Peg Legs.

All of the club print bases from Raspberry Creek are top quality, and the double brushed poly is no exception. This tie dye is printed, but the colors are still stunning. The softness of the fabric is perfect for lounging around the house.

This is one piece that I will be sad when it is in the wash!  What will I wear in the meantime???

Sometimes I wonder what I did for stress relief before I started sewing.  We currently have no idea what the near future holds, but for now I still have sewing.  I still have browsing facebook in my downtime to see the beautiful creations that everyone is making.  I still have a stash of RCF fabrics that I haven’t had time to sew up yet.  So keep on sewing because we are all in need of some inspiration!  Make sure you check out the Raspberry Creek Facebook group to see other pieces made from the Club DBP prints.

Until next time….sewing and sipping,
