It’s finally that time of year here in Tennessee. Time to layer up and sew all of those sweater knits. Made for Mermaids is making sure you are ready for fall with their newest release Mama Darcey (complete with the girl’s Darcey and Dolly Darcey).
Mama Darcey has all of your cardigan needs and even has duster and vest options. Multiple sleeve lengths, optional hood, optional elbow patches and a dramatic high low hem option…what else could you need?
Unfortunately I only sewed up one Mama Darcey this go round (this is the first of 3 blog posts this week!!!). This is the vest version with the dramatic high low gem in a sweater knit from a mystery box.
I paired this with a tunic length Mama Nina in a Knitpop cotton style jersey floral from earlier this year. I am loving the stripes and floral combo!
This uses the banded neckline option, but I see a hooded version in my future.
The hemline on the high low makes for a fun feature piece in your wardrobe.
I wanted to try this vest with a more casual Mama Ava top too in a solid rayon spandex from Purple Seamstress. Mama Darcey makes for an easy grab and go style.
Don’t wait! Grab your Darcey of choice while they are on sale and round out your fall wardrobe!
Until next time…sewing and sipping,
Stacey
