Laela Jeyne Patterns has released their Fall Collection for 2017 with the theme of family photos. The collection includes several great new patterns, and I am bringing you my two versions of the Madeline Ballet Sweater today.
My first version was made with a mystery lightweight sweater knit. I wish I could remember what online shop it came from, but I guess that will remain a mystery, too!
I paired this sweater with a cami and a high waisted high low skirt. The fitted top and the flowy skirt are the perfect combination. (Made for Mermaids Mama Cassie high low skirt hack).
The wrap closure at the side seam is a simple but sweet option.
Overall, I love the fit of the sweater out of this sweater knit. The lower neckline allows for layering with many different neckline heights for your bottom layer. I love the look of it with the new Juliette dress from the Fall Collection, and I hope to make a Juliette soon!
More pattern specs to come while I show off my second version. I finally found a great combination of patterns to use my May Bee Box from Vinegar and Honey Co.
This pattern has versatile closure options: tie closure, button closure, and banded. I chose the no fuss banded option for both of my sweaters. The banded bottoms makes it so easy to slip on over your favorite dress or top.
The Madeline is designed to hit at the natural waist. Now I finally have a layering option to pair with my high waisted skirts, such as this pencil skirt (Patterns for Pirates Pirate Pencil Skirt).
The neckline is finished with elastic and topstitched.
Overall, the Madeline Ballet Sweater is a versatile top layer to add a simple finishing touch to your me made outfits.
The pattern is on sale individually or can be purchased with the whole Fall Collection through October 21, 2017. Be sure to check out all 4 patterns in the collection!
