It’s been getting a little sappy in the Patterns for Pirates Sewing PDF Pattern Group as Judy and the Pirate Team have reached 100k members in the facebook group. I joined the group back at the end of 2015 when there was less than 20,000 members in the group. It is amazing how much the Pirate community has grown in 3 short years.
This week has been full of fun freebies from the Pirate Team, including a Convertible Cover, 6 free cut files, the free girl’s Tiny Tulip, and now the free women’s Tulip Tee.
Wait? Tulip Tee? There’s no tulip there. Well, guilty. I have only made the regular hemline version….but, seriously, it is like all of my favorite parts of different dolman shirts had a baby. I love this tee.
It pairs perfectly with my favorite pair of skinny jeans.
It has a subtle high low hem. Just enough coverage in the front, and a little more coverage in the back. This allows for me to put the shirt with skinny khakis and wear to work.
Plus, it even looked great tucked into a skirt!
It helps that this fabric is gorgeous. I snagged a yard of it in a Posh Dash bundle deal from Pretty Posh Prints. I love any top that I can make out of only one yard of fabric.
This is paired with a Made for Mermaids Mama Cassie skirt hack.
I will definitely try the back tulip version soon, but I couldn’t resist a long sleeve sweater knit hemmed top. The sweater knit was from Sincerely Rylee. It is nice and lightweight so it will be perfect for layering this fall and winter.
Let’s just pretend it wasn’t a million degrees outside when I took these photos because this screams for fall weather!
Once again, the high low hemline is my absolute favorite.
This Tulip Tee is paired with my favorite pair of SOS pants made out of a gloriously thick ponte from Sly Fox Fabrics. So of course, I had to show off my pants, too, for you.
So once again, Patterns for Pirates is giving back to the wonderful community of women by releasing such a versatile FREE pattern.
Don’t forget to check out all the different options including a nursing option! Plus check out the P4P blog for hacks.
Until next time….sewing and sipping,
Stacey
Stacey, both of these tees are so nice. But you know what I’m loving the most about this post? Those awesome black SOS pants. 😍😍😍😍

This is such a great pattern with so many different options. I’m currently stuck on the banded long sleeve version but I’m planning on trying the other versions as well.
